Requirements

• A Claude Pro, Team, or Enterprise plan
• On Team/Enterprise plans, only Admins or Owners can set up custom connectors

Setup

1. Go to Settings → Connectors in Claude.
2. Click Add Custom Connector.
3. Enter the MarcoPolo server details:
   • Name: MarcoPolo
   • Remote MCP Server URL: https://mcp.marcopolo.dev
4. Save the connector.

Plugin alternative

The MCP connector gives Claude access to MarcoPolo's tools. The MarcoPolo plugin (currently in preview) goes further - it teaches Claude proven data workflows so it writes better queries and uses the right tools consistently. Both connect to the same workspace.

Tips for Claude Web

Use Projects. Pin frequently used prompts (like "profile this dataset" or "run my weekly metrics query") to a Claude Project so you don't retype them.

Artifacts for dashboards. When Claude builds a chart or table, it renders as an artifact you can expand, copy, or share.

Build up, don't start over. Within a conversation, Claude remembers previous query results. Layer your analysis step by step rather than asking everything in one prompt.
